Bret Johnson
Named California high school quarterback player of the decade by the Los Angeles Times, Bret earned notable recognition for his play as a high school quarterback including Gatorade West Player of the Year 2x California High School Player of the Year, 2x CIF Player of the Year, 5 All American Teams and 2x Orange County Player of the Year. As a Collegiate player he became the 1st freshman quarterback in 40 years to start for UCLA. Later transferring to play for Michigan State, Bret earned a combined total of five PAC 10 and Big 10 Chevrolet Player of the Game awards.
Before beginning his career as a coach, Bret played professionally for both the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL and Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. As an Offensive Coordinator for the Mission Viejo Diablos, Bret’s accolades include 2x League Champs, 2002 Orange County Champs and the 2002 CIF Championship. Bret’s unique gift for coaching has earned him the prestigious honors of coaching in the California All Star Game and the National Elite 11 Quarterbacks sponsored by EA Sports eight consecutive years.
